Made by the prospector as part of a long investigation in to the miniature, the figurine, scale, kitsch,taste and imitation of the real. Swan song features a vintage lustreware swan a classic iconic animal, a grassy knoll, a single female figure and a single blossoming tree high on a hill. What was going through our head as we made this piece? - "The sound of music", "Edward Scissorhand" and "Welcome to me" to name just a few ideas.
